Were YOU there when Dr. Paul Marched to Washington Daddy?

Republicans defend freedom and the idea of small government that’s war roomwhat Republicans do.
Republicans rally behind true Statesmen who put themselves and thier reputation on the line for thier country..THAT’S what Republicans do.
I wasn’t old enough to stand up and be counted by supporting Dr. King. Many folks in the future WILL CLAIM to have stood by Ron Paul when things got tough in 2008………..but the days of opportunity to TRULY stand by Dr. Paul and make a difference are limited.

Of course the enemy is trying to persuade you that he is, trying to discourage you. If you discourage yourself, you are doing exactly what they want. I was there, saw and heard it all, and saw no sign of discouragement in the candidate or in the roaring and chanting celebrants. The enemy concocted this new, preposterous assertion because Dr. No has sensibly adjusted his tactics to conform to the latest events.
Yes, he has cut staff; with Super Tuesday behind us the bigger staff is not necessary. Should he have wasted precious money and kept them on? Not only has he not quit the national race, but also that race is not at all decided.

Ron Paul Statement on Washington, Louisiana and Kansas Results

“As the results of this weekend have made clear, many Republican 2008voters are not satisfied with our party’s likely candidate for president, John McCain.
“Voters rejected him in Kansas and Louisiana. Even in Washington State, where McCain appears to have won a plurality, over seventy percent of voters felt another candidate better represented them, including 21 percent who caucused for me.
“This is why my run for the Republican nomination will not end.

Washington State GOP Debacle? You Don’t Know the Half

When I signed up to be a Precinct Committee Officer for my precinct in Seattle, I received a barrage of strange calls. Two of them came from the GOP district chair. In the first call, he asked how committed I was to the Republican Party. I truthfully said that I grew up in a Reagan household, served in the military, supported Rossi for Governor in 2004, and have voted only for Republican presidential nominees.
He said that he was encouraged by all of the new PCO applications, but that he would have to deny any applications from people who weren’t forthright about being Ron Paul supporters. He said that he had found us on a Ron Paul meetup group and that our PCO applications were denied.

Ron Paul Has Already Won

No matter where he goes in politics, as a presidential candidate and a lewrockwellcongressman – and both vibrant campaigns aim for victory – the future for Ron as a movement leader is secure, and of that there can be no question. After a lifetime of principled statesmanship, a long shelf of books that he has written and nationwide respect for being the one man who dares speak against the status quo, he has made his mark on history. What it shows is that even in dark times such as ours, there are people who are willing to stand up and hold a candle and light the way to the future. To them we owe the whole of our civilization.

If You’re for Ron Paul, Vote for Ron Paul

In a few supporter forums the idea is going around that one way to help daily doseRon Paul might be to vote for Mike Huckabee in the hope that if Huckabee wins enough delegates we might get a brokered convention in the fall. Most of the supporters who like this idea at least say that it should only be tried in those winner-take-all primary states where Ron Paul has the least favorable odds.
I strongly advise against this tactical voting. Ron Paul is serious when he says he wants to win every possible vote as well as every possible national delegate.

by Pastor Chuck Baldwin
What's with all these clueless Christians? How is it that people who have the benefit of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and the warning and insight of the Sacred Scriptures--not to mention a rich Christian heritage here in America--can be so ignorant, blind, and naïve? Yes, the majority of evangelical Christians seem to be all of the above. The problem has passed being serious: it is catastrophic!
Mike Huckabee would support the liberal, Big-Government John McCain with all of the enthusiasm he could muster. Why? Because Huckabee, himself, is a Big-Government liberal who has joined ideological forces with the super-elite who run both parties.

Economic stability

Dr. Paul's Honest Money Act (HR 2756) would establish an alternative, modern gold currency system that would encourage the Fed to not devalue the dollar. The government would be forced to stay within budget, defend all expenditures and drain the trough at which the D.C. lobbyists feed.

Ron Paul is the real candidate for change

We must avoid this by taking an active role in deciding our nation's theutdmercuryfuture: we should begin thinking like revolutionaries. Congress will not grant Ron Paul a legislative field day, and even in two terms of office, Paul cannot implement all the changes we need. But a victory for Ron Paul will serve as a catalyst for a permanent shift in public perception and government accountability. As soon as we take responsibility for regulating and selecting our government, we can begin working toward a restoration of the principles and values for which America once stood.

Credit Where It’s Due: NY Times Gets the Delegate Count Right

Many media outlets are doing a very poor job of estimating how many daily dosedelegates each Republican candidate has so far won. They calculate the delegate count from caucus states as if it were a reflection of the straw poll votes in the caucuses. But it’s actually more complicated than that — the straw polls rarely count for anything other than bragging rights. The delegates are the substance of the contest, because they’re the ones who select the nominee at the National Convention.

An Open Letter to the Objectivist Community on Behalf of Ron Paul

Perhaps the most powerful reason for supporting Ron Paul is that lewrockwellObjectivist ethics is based upon the non-aggression axiom: man has the right to use force only to repel (or punish, or retaliate against) prior aggression; it is improper, entirely improper, to initiate violence against those not guilty of so doing first against us. A Message From Ron Paul About The Dual Battle For His Congressional Seat & The Presidency. He Needs All our Support

As you know, if running for President weren’t enough of a challenge, I have been at the same time seeking reelection to my congressional seat in Texas. The election law in Texas allows people like me, and Lyndon Johnson, and Lloyd Bentsen to run for the highest office in the land while at the same time seeking reelection to the U.S. House or Senate. This law recognizes the importance of being able to allow a leader to seek to influence national opinion and politics without automatically giving up a position of leadership in the Congress.
So I am fighting battles on two fronts. On the one hand I have been battling…and defeating bigger and stronger and better-funded opponents in the contest for President. On the other, I am struggling to find the time and the strength and the funds to defend the home front…my congressional district in Texas.

The Two Washingtons

What matters most are the delegates, and in several parts of the state thr daily doseRon Paul has been winning more delegates than the straw poll results would suggest. We’ve seen this happen in several states: supporters of other candidates show up, vote in the straw poll, then leave — while Ron Paul supporters stay and vote in the delegate selection process. We’ve won delegates in precincts where we haven’t won the straw poll. We’ll have more news about this once all the Washington results are in.
And now that the race has come down to just three candidates, only one of whom is a small-government conservative, we have the chance to pick up new supporters and close the gap with the other remaining candidates. The close Washington state caucuses show us this can be done. In primary states the task is much tougher, but we owe it to the principles for which we are fighting to win every vote and every delegate we can. Precinct Leaders are needed now more than ever, and even 24 hours of canvassing can make a startling difference. This is the time to redouble our efforts.

Take a deep breath

I may be naive about all this, but I think Romney’s “suspension” was an war roomexploratory ploy to see if R.P. would then drop out in dismay of losing the chance at a brokered convention. He held fast to his unassailable position, and I predict that Romney will soon, then withdraw. The plan has been to jettison McCain all along but these things must be done delicately in order to avoid alienating the joe sixpack wing. So if you read between the lines you will see that Dr. Paul’s message was guardedly hopeful, not defeatist. It will not end until we have won the great battle on which we have embarked. Not because of me, but because of you. Millions of Americans -- and friends in many other countries -- have dedicated themselves to the principles of liberty: to free enterprise, limited government, sound money, no income tax, and peace. We will not falter so long as there is one restriction on our persons, our property, our civil liberties. How much I owe you. I can never possibly repay your generous donations, hard work, whole-hearted dedication and love of freedom. How blessed I am to be associated with you. Carol, of course, sends her love as well.

McCain Coronation Sounds Death Knell for GOP

Because of his widespread unpopularity, the fact that John "100-Year nolanWar" McCain appears to have been selected by voters in the Republic of California is in and of itself highly suggestive of election rigging. Even a casual review of the California Secretary of State website [where election results are displayed for 53 districts] strains rational credulity to believe that voters across the state could possibly have been so homogeneous in their choices. Just start here and click "Next District" repeatedly, and ask yourself whether results for the four major candidates could have possibly been so "level" across the state. This amounts to a "statistical miracle" as observed in a recent Lew Rockwell column.

Paul expressed doubt that Sen. John McCain can lead Republicans back to the conservative principles of 1994. Instead of advancing limited government, McCain has chosen to align himself with some of the most destructive liberals in the United States Senate, Paul said.
Paul was particularly critical of the alliance McCain has forged with Sen. Russ Feingold and Sen. Ted Kennedy. "This candidate's best friends names are Kennedy and Feingold," said Paul.

Don't vote for the lesser of two evils

For 34 years, I have been voting for the lesser of two (or more) evils. What I really want is a candidate who won't lower himself to the petty name-calling to which we've become accustomed. I'd like a candidate who has studied, understands and respects the Constitution; who realizes how it nurtured a great nation only to be relegated to mediocrity through arrogance, ignorance and selfishness. How about a candidate who appeals to the voters not by promising them what they want, but by telling the truth, regardless of how painful it may be? How about a candidate who can back his positions with a voting record of more than 20 years?

Ron Paul in race for the long haul, despite what media is telling you

Paul gave a rousing speech at CPAC today, February 7th, that was very well received. In a wonderful gesture, attendees reported that that Romney supporters gave up their display table to the Paul supporters after Mitt’s announcement!
Paul supporters are now courting Romney’s former fans, some have signed up on popular blogs and forums already.
As for the media, they are committing a borderline criminal act by pretending Paul has dropped out, as this had caused some polling places to deny voters the right to vote for Paul on Super Tuesday, claiming falsely that he was no longer a candidate. Irate voters have been reporting incidents like this from all over NY, as well as expressing outrage with what they hear on the networks about there only be two candidates to vote for in the GOP. It is suggested that all of these incidents be recorded and reported to the FEC who can be called any business day from 8:30AM-5:30PM ET.

Can we take care of our own country?

Rep. Ron Paul was exactly right when he said we should dismantle our empire. We simply don't need permanent military bases in places like Germany, Japan, South Korea, the Balkans and the Middle East. The Pentagon admits to more than 700 foreign bases. This dispersal of military forces is expensive and unnecessary for our security.
Americans had better insist on a national government that has America and its needs as its only priorities. Foreign wars, foreign aid, foreign military bases and other forms of foreign assistance need to be zeroed out of the American budget. The rest of the world can take care of itself; the question is, Can we take care of our own country?
