Message from Tom Lizardo - RP's policy adviser/Chief of Staff

Anybody who thought this would be easy should understand that easy is not what this business is or is all about. This will take time, commitment and training. People have shown they are ready for that but, are they really and truly ready to "go the distance" on a multi-year process?
We need to fight a long battle to retake this party, our party (and it is OURS even for people who have never been in it before!).
This is not an easy mission. They will fight to keep control and "use every rule" (and likely violate several). What THEY WANT is for our people to "get frustrated and go away" (to the LP, etc). The answer then is to do the opposite. It is to become a precinct chairman, and then a city or town chairman, and then a county chair and then a state chair. It is to run for state committee, and national committee etc, etc, etc. First we need to reclaim the movement, then the party, and then the country.

Ron Paul backers succeed in guerilla takeover of some GOP caucuses

Never before had St. Charles County Republican Party Chairman Jon stltodayBennett received so many queries about where this year's party caucus was to be held. And Bennett didn't recognize most of the callers.
On Saturday, Bennett learned why. Dozens of avid supporters of Ron Paul, a Texas congressman who is running a renegade quest for the presidential nomination, staged a political guerrilla attack. At that caucus at St. Peters City Hall — as well as others across the state — party regulars like Bennett were overwhelmed.
The result: Paul's supporters predict they have snagged roughly a third of the 2,137 state Republican delegates. Those delegates will determine the state GOP platform this spring and help select the presidential delegates to the national Republican presidential convention in Minneapolis in September.

Ron Paul’s Missouri supporters take charge of weekend county caucuses

Ron Paul’s Missouri supporters aren’t giving up. Despite his distant kansascityfourth-place finish in the state’s presidential primary, with just 4.5 percent of the vote, more than a thousand Paul supporters crowded into Republican county caucuses this weekend, electing hundreds of delegates to upcoming congressional district and state conventions.

Dear Cato Institute and David Boaz: Thanks for Nothing

Congressman Ronald Paul came to the 2008 Presidential elections with no money, no campaign infrastructure, and no name recognition. He arrived with only an idea, but his idea compelled hundreds of thousands of Americans to donate over $32 million and create the largest grassroots movement in history. College students gave up their entire Christmas breaks to sleep in cold New Hampshire cabins and canvas for 16-hour days. Quick-witted Texas judges held signs at conventions and out-smarted the likes of Hugh Hewitt. People like me spent hours trying to explain the more esoteric aspects of a Paul presidency for the masses.

The Ron Paul Campaign: The Glass is Half Full

Ron Paul began with nearly zero name recognition and was relegated 2008from the beginning by all MSM media to the second tier. I believe pundits should recognize the great strides in achieving between 5 and 10% of the vote in almost every state and receiving 11% in a Rasmussen poll running as a third party candidate. Not to mention over 20% in several caucus states, including second place in Nevada, Montana, and Louisiana.
Ron Paul's name recognition nationally now likely exceeds 50% of the electorate.
Any analysis must begin by acknowledging that many better-known US Senators and Governors received less of the popular vote. Many such as Biden and Dodd received less than 1% even though they have been staples of the Sunday morning news programs for decades. Not to mention the fact that Ron Paul trounced candidates with far greater name recognition such as Fred Thompson and Rudy Guliani.

It appears that solid strategy and a well-organized grassroots campaign bellinghamheraldput Ron Paul on top of the Whatcom County Republican Party convention this weekend.

Ron Paul's long-term thinking in dangerous times

Ron Paul has steered our embedded short-term thinking to long-term renewamericathinking. People are now considering "long-term solutions" and a "long revolution" which may incur much sacrifice and suffering along the way. America can regain her stance as a strong nation, with a strong business base and a strong workforce, an increased savings rate, and a constitutional government — but it must start with us.
"We the people" sense that Ron Paul is right in so many ways about America. Ultra-strong on his economic sense, he understands what the majority of Congress, the President's administration and the people fail to comprehend.
He knows in his heart that America must look to her own survival as a matter of course instead of following our present road to Hell.
My fellow Americans, it's up to US!

A Party Not Even McCain Could Love

In Missouri, plenty of counties had elected full pro-Paul slates of nolandelegates to the congressional convention, and passed a series of earth-shaking resolutions. Some include opposition to the Iraq war, opposition to the Federal Reserve Act, a return to the gold standard, and plenty of other ones as well.
I can say the same happened in Minnesota, which is where I was.
I am trying to help you draw the conclusion that you and I must be involved in. We need to work to make the GOP a party of principle, we need to weed out the liberals and the moderates and return to the conservative/libertarian principles which gave birth to the GOP.

H.R. 2755: Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act

Many economist and investors are now seeing the truth about the Federal Reserve. The question we should ask ourselves is why do we allow a private bank to have control over the nation’s money supply? The economic crisis we are facing today has been significantly compounded as a result of the Federal Reserve. They have bombarded the economy with more dollars driving the value of the dollar to almost nothing.
Ron Paul has been calling for the abolition of the Federal Reserve for years. He knows the dangers of the Federal Reserve.

Ron Paul: What the Price of Gold Is Telling Us

Buying gold and holding it is somewhat analogous to converting one’s lewrockwellsavings into one hundred dollar bills and hiding them under the mattress – yet not exactly the same. Both gold and dollars are considered money, and holding money does not qualify as an investment. There’s a big difference between the two however, since by holding paper money one loses purchasing power. The purchasing power of commodity money, i.e. gold, however, goes up if the government devalues the circulating fiat currency.
Holding gold is protection or insurance against government’s proclivity to debase its currency. The purchasing power of gold goes up not because it’s a so-called good investment; it goes up in value only because the paper currency goes down in value. In our current situation, that means the dollar.

Ron Paul on the Surveillance Bill

I rise in opposition to this latest attempt to undermine our personal antiwarliberties and violate the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution. This bill will allow the federal government to engage in the bulk collection of American citizens’ communications. In effect, it means that any American may have his electronic communications monitored without a search warrant.
As such, the bill clearly violates the Fourth Amendment, which states: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Important Points to Keep in Mind

This is what it’s all about. As Dr. Paul has mentioned previously, this daily dosecampaign is only the beginning of a movement to take back the Republican Party and restore adherence to the Constitution. However, nothing will be accomplished unless each of us on an individual level is willing to fight to make it happen. Our forefathers pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to hand us a nation that was free. Were they perfect people? No. Are Dr. Paul or any of us perfect people? No. But the message they fought for and the cause we now champion is far too precious to let it breath its last in the face of indifference, greed, and rhetoric.

Ron Paul Can Win The Republican Nomination Just Like Abraham Lincoln

The delegates are bound to McCain only for the first few rounds of RonPaulForPresident2008voting at the convention.
This is exactly how Abraham Lincoln was nominated. He went into the convention with virtually no delegates bound to him. The front runner at the time was a divisive figure (much like McCain is today) and was unable to garner the requisite number of delegate votes in round one. As delegates started to be released after each round, Lincoln garnered more and more votes until finally, after the 5th or 6th round (I don’t remember which off the top of my head) Lincoln received the requisite number of delegate votes and became the party’s nominee.

Ron Paul On Eliot Spitzer - He Acted Badly But Didn't Deserve This

No matter how morally justified his comeuppance may be, his downfall cbsdemonstrates the worst of our society. The possibility of uncovering personal moral wrongdoing is never a justification for the government to spy on our every move and to participate in sting operations.
For government to entice a citizen to break a law with a sting operation--that is, engaging in activities that a private citizen is prohibited by law from doing--is unconscionable and should clearly be illegal.

Intervening Our Way to Economic Ruin

They interviewed 3,400 military personnel just recently, military leaders, antiwarand 82 percent of them said our military is weaker today than it was 5 years ago. So, all of this money spent and all this policing in the world, and all this deficit.
And financially we're coming down. I mean, just today the dollar went down 1.2 percent in one day, after this steady erosion. It comes from the fact of deficits. And why does that hurt the dollar? Because we don't have enough money. We don't tax enough. We can't tax anymore. People are overtaxed. We can't borrow anymore because interest rates will go up. So, we print the money. And the more money you print, the further the dollar goes down, and then everything goes up in price. So it's a cycle that's coming to an end.

Ron Paul Survives Lies, Manipulation Of Mass Media

Reporters and editors in the mainstream media want to spin their americanfreepressstories, instead of reporting actual statements and events as they unfold without prejudice. We live in one of the most difficult times in history for guarding home_logoagainst an expanding central government. We are seeing a steady erosion of our freedoms. We have arrived here because our ideas, our words—and the actions that follow—have consequences. Homeschoolers, by-andlarge, understand that bad ideas have bad consequences, and even the best of intentions can have unintended consequences. We need to understand exactly what ideas brought us to this point. We can then, I hope, reject the bad ideas and reform our thinking toward a better set of intellectual parameters. Our goal should be to identify what ideas are now shaping our culture and work to sow the seeds of liberty for the generations who will come after us.

These are the same people, mind you, that in 2004 properly identified McCain as the conservative phony that he was--and still is. Many of the same conservative organizations that rejected and repudiated McCain's 2004 candidacy now boldly extol its virtues. But it is not John McCain that has changed: it is today's conservatives.

The answer to this question is a resounding YES and we DO have a plan to do this. The first thing that you must do is FORGET about our fraudulent voting system, this plan has NOTHING to do with the ballot box. Understand that Dr. Paul KNEW that he would be defrauded by the vote stealing machines. So now, that being said, in an electoral system that is totally rigged, what do we do?

The philosophy of Ron Paul takes from left, right

The Libertarian Movement, though now considered grassroots, is a growing phenomenon popular with both young Republicans and Democrats alike, as it promises to finally bridge the gap between the two. Those who see the dangers of constitutional dismantlement, basic human rights, ultra-government intervention-control and sound international policies, may create a new face for America, where again "We, the people of the United States of America" might take back liberty and justice for all. In effect, it may finally bridge the ultra-idealistic gaps that so weaken us.

Paul our last hope to save our freedom

Barrack Hussein Obama owns the most liberal voting record in the billingsgazetteSenate. Therefore, it is no surprise that he is the favorite candidate of a lot of the news media and left-wingers.
Hillary Rodham Clinton speaks (screeches) like a conservative, yet she, too, is an ultra-liberal. She remains the hands-down queen of eardrum trauma.
John Sidney McCain is yet another closet liberal in conservative clothing during the campaign season.

Mr. Burr single-handedly organized an effort that landed every local RP daily dosesupporter in attendance on the state delegate list. And he did this all while volunteering on the hectic, high-pressure credentials committee for the county party.

Ron Paul's Meeting with Rogue Farmers

Now, more than ever, the Ron Paul Revolution must roll forward in force. nolanIt doesn't matter if Ron Paul can win the White House or not. What does matter is that we don't give up the fight against tyranny. The global elite have manipulated our lives for a century. Their schemes to destroy our currency, eliminate civil liberties, enslave us and our children, and spill our blood in the process are all clear and present dangers which must be resisted to our last ounce of strength. We must resist, or we must inevitably perish. For my Amish friends, for my family, and for my country I commit myself to the noble cause of freedom.
Now is not the time to vacillate or shrink from duty. Now is the time to rise and fight.

Fighting for a 'revolution'

"You see a guy like Paul, who has fought for these principles for 30 sidelinesonlineyears, and you say [to yourself], I need to do this, too. It's my civil duty to do this," says Brian Comer, an MTSU graduate and Paul meet-up member.
"Paul is concerned with his constituents, the people," Brian says. "Other candidates are concerned with their constituents, as well, except their constituents are corporations and lobbyists. [Paul] actually votes for conservative issues, while McCain has flip-flopped.
I plan on fighting for this message everyday of my life. [I will] teach my children this message. After all, freedom is popular."

Paul leaves open door to third-party bid, unlikely to support McCain

"I don't think it's very practical, and I think Republicans deserve to have raw storyat least a conservative to vote for," Paul said. "The conservative base does not the support John McCain because he's identified more with the liberal Democrats. So why should they be disenfranchised? Although the odds are slim, but they have a right to vote for someone that stands for traditional Republican principles: limited government, personal liberties. I mean, this is something the Republicans used to brag about and preach, so they deserve a chance to vote for that.
" Paul said he likely would not support McCain for the sake of unifying the party.

Ron Paul--In Retrospect--but not quite yet...

Ron Paul's campaign has revived and renewed a knowledge and nolanunderstanding of Constitutional governance as intended by the Founding Fathers--when you think of it subversive elements have been successfully undermining this for a century or more now--and within this revival and renewal the Revolution which has been birthed can evolve and persevere against the global elements which stand to transgress our Constitution, natural right and Divine Law

Ron Paul- Can Foreign Aid Save Africa?

Congress is poised to pass the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS texasstraight talkRelief (PEPFAR) authorizing up to $50 million in unconstitutional foreign aid. The bill passed out of the Foreign Affairs Committee with a bipartisan agreement to nearly double the President's requested amount. It is always distressing to see officials in our government reach across the aisle to disregard Constitutional limitations.
Much of this aid will run through government-to-government channels and will be vulnerable to corruption. Some of the aid will be sent to faith-based organizations who, along with accepting government largess, will now be subject to governmental controls and will soon become more dependent on taxpayer funding than private funds.

McCain’s most horrendous loss occurred in 1967 on the USS Forrestal. Well, not horrendous for him. The starter motor switch on the A4E Skyhawk allowed fuel to pool in the engine. When the aircraft was “wet-started,” an impressive flame would shoot from the tail. It was one of the ways young hot-shots got their jollies. Investigators and survivors took the position that McCain deliberately wet-started to harass the F4 pilot directly behind him. The cook off launched an M34 Zuni rocket that tore through the Skyhawk’s fuel tank, released a thousand pound bomb, and ignited a fire that killed the pilot plus 167 men. Before the tally of dead and dying was complete, the son and grandson of admirals had been transferred to the USS Oriskany.

Ron Paul has shown us the road to victory – Win or Lose

Too much importance is placed on political parties, the "Elite" don´t care amchronlogowhether the next president is a Republican or Democrat. With the exception of Ron Paul, the remaining candidates all have the same masters (with Hilary Clinton getting the nod). I´m sure the majority of Republicans (even if they didn´t support Paul), are probably not that happy with McCain carrying the flag. This is likely to be true for Democratic supporters, they too might have preferred a different choice (if they had one).

The only other candidate carrying the debate forward is Congressman inforumRon Paul of Texas. Paul, the traditional conservative, free market, Christian, constitutionalist, noninterventionalist, America first, anti-gun control, pro-life, Reaganesqe, limited government, fiscally and monetarily sane candidate currently has less “pledged” first ballot delegates, but is willing to present his message of hope, prosperity and freedom throughout GOP ranks and the United States.

GOP hasn't forgiven Paul for opposing Iraq war

Paul's problem is the same one that plagued former Democrat Ronald morningsentinalReagan: He really hasn't changed but his party has. Reagan, a conservative New Dealer, saw his party converted into a democratic socialist regime. Paul has seen the GOP degenerate into another big government warfare/welfare party whose leading nominee's presidential campaign theme is "Invade the World, Invite the World."
