John McCain’s campaign spending is breaking the law. He elected for public funding when his campaign was having trouble. But now that he is the presumptive nominee, he is, by his campaign’s own admission, around $4 million over his legal spending limit. So a formal complaint has been filed with the FEC.
The explanation lies in understanding the basics of money, and why it is dangerous to give government and big banks control over it.
The final day of campaigning before Super Tuesday with stops in Fargo and Bismarck, North Dakota and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Here in Alaska we grew a group of delegates after our primaries into the Alaska Ron Paul Delegates meetup. In that group we pulled together about 70 of our 110 or so Ron Paul delegates in order to work and communicate together for the seven weeks before the state convention. We did one project that I think bears replication, both for states with pending State Conventions, but also, and most importantly, on a national level, before the St. Paul Convention. First, we realized that mainstream media had been almost completely ignoring Dr. Paul.

Today, the federal government burdens us with one of the most dangerous taxes it can impose — the inflation tax. When the federal government finds that it cannot afford its out-of-control spending, and is unwilling to directly tax the public, it resorts simply to creating the money out of thin air.
Delegate Tracy Groff says a group of Ron Paul supporters brought the SD 14 convention to a screeching halt by challenging the selection of delegates headed to the state convention in June.
There is another scientific law that complements the Ron Paul "Exclusion Principle. It is called the John McCain "Uncertainty Principle". There are a lot of delegates in the GOP that are "uncertain" about the electability of John McCain (not to mention his conservative "principles"). According to the mainstream media John McCain is the pre-ordained candidate for the GOP. That aside, there are no guarantees that John McCain can and will win the GOP nomination (not to mention the presidential election). So, when John shows up in St. Paul in September don't be surprised to hear more than just a few enthusiastic Ron Paul supporters shouting "WE ARE HERE! WE ARE HERE!"
South Dakotans can be assured that they have a choice on June 3. With his consistent voting record, the most donations from our military personnel (of ANY candidate), and a "common sense" economic policy, I am delighted to represent the champion of the constitution in St. Paul. If Senator McCain is in violation of FEC laws, I would urge the Republican Party to express to Senator McCain that Republicans will not stand for such actions unbecoming of the Republican Party, and eject Senator McCain from the Party. I would also urge Congressman Paul to rally the Republican Party around his still very active bid for the Republican nomination and unbind the delegates nationwide to expedite the process at the Republican National convention to nominate Congressman Paul.
With the upcoming event growing into a major happening we have more and more people coming on board. This is a great occurance. Our newest additions and ones that are huge are:

We took a group full of people who thought it would be business as usual, and turned the whole thing on its head. Those people didn't expect to hear dissent from the decisions of the committee. When they heard our dissent, half of the room REALLY listened. We garnered enough support to formally oppose the Real ID and enough votes to nearly formally call for a repeal of the Federal Reserve Act and go back to the gold standard. Through our speeches we nearly convinced half a room of die-hard republicans to go back to the gold standard! The people there were impressed with our knowledge, and our ability to use the rules to our advantage! Best of all, I know who to work on. Many people I am close to actually truly listened to us today.
First I can tell you for certain that there were well over 200 Ron Paul supporters there. I don't know how many of us applied to be delegates at State Convention, but I can tell you I know one of the people on the nominations committee because both our daughters go to the same school. He told us that out of the 250 something people who applied to go only 5 were denied.

McCain has 2 problems with this issue.
The problem is even more complicated than this. McCain used the matching funds eligibility to avoid having to collect signatures to qualify for ballot access in several states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The Federal Reserve’s decision to become an emergency lender to all major investment firms is leading to some big questions. Yet again, economic “experts” ignored one of the key tenets of economics: policies have to be analyzed for long-term ramifications. Or, perhaps many of those “experts” know exactly what those long-term ramifications are and purposefully set the course that would take us there.
We have been working overtime preparing for this major event. Art Pollock, Michelle Mollman, Joel Lemeiux, Kitty Carson, Bill Stegmeir, Dave Von Kleist, Bette Smith, Earnest Hancock, Ron Paul Revolution Radio, Genesis Communications Network, the Idaho Observer, American Free Press, Poker Face and the band, Will to Power, Ron Paul Flags and many others have worked very hard to put together a good list of speakers that represent many different aspects to problems we are all facing in this nation today. This is not a one man show by any means and has been in the planning stages for months even before Dr.Paul ever made the video for having a march.
In other words, we hope that someone is paying professional attention to the nuts and bolts -- booking the space, arranging the catering, considering transportation, anticipating the needs of the reporter who may write something about us if it's convenient. (A little known facet of press agentry is that reporters are either too busy or lazy, and the successful press operation is the one that best capitalizes on this.)

As Dr. Paul pointed out in his “Issues” statement on Iraq, “Proponents of the surge say that we are achieving victory. However, even if the level of our troops being killed has declined, they are still being targeted and the Iraqi government is no closer to stability, meaning that the violence will continue.”
I oppose Mr. McCain because he supports wars of aggression; he revels in violating not only Iraq's national sovreignty but our own in the form of things like the Patriot act, corporate welfare at taxpayer expense for the benefit of the multinationals that own him lock, stock and barrel by way of both direct grants and no-bid contacts, as well as supporting the Federal Reserve and the larceny-via-inflation that is its stock in trade; and amnesty for illegal immigrants, again a form of outright *theft* from taxpaying citizens.

Time to listen to Texas Congressman Ron Paul, the lone voice of reason in Congress today who’s got to feel like he’s shouting into a field of cotton with his repeated warnings about the dangers of a collapsing dollar, while the administration goes AWOL on the problem.
Neither Obama nor Clinton has any plan to tackle this debt or to restrain entitlement spending in any serious way. Millions of private individuals have taken out idiotic mortgage loans on houses they cannot afford and should never have been reckless enough to buy. The dollar is headed into the toilet as much of the US economy is leveraged on the bona fides of a still-authoritarian regime that is currently brutally suppressing human rights in Tibet and across its territory.
Talking about the network of artists working for Representative Paul, Mr. Blain says, “We are a bunch of like-minded individuals, who care about the virtues of freedom and liberty, and what that means to the continued success of America. The grassroots knew it was up against a propaganda campaign set squarely against us. The Ron Paul campaign has been receiving reports that Missouri GOP rules have been violated in the set-up and execution of several county Republican caucuses. Ron Paul supporters in Missouri have been attending their county caucuses and electing Ron Paul delegates to be seated at the Missouri Republican State Convention. However, there are concerns that many Ron Paul delegates to the Missouri Republican State Convention were disenfranchised and not properly seated.

We are six months out from the convention in Minneapolis and a lot will happen between then and now. Ron Paul is still in the race, is still getting media coverage and remains a viable candidate. Long shot, yes, but he always was, and, as Newsweek states, he has hundreds of thousands of supporters--maybe the most ardent in U.S. political history. You and I are part of that.
In addition, if this Ron Paul nut had actually become President, he might have succeeded in abolishing the Internal Revenue Service and overturning the Sixteenth Amendment. Holy Horrors! Can you imagine the tragedy that would have ensued? No more income taxes. No more tax forms to fill out. No more IRS agents arresting hard-working citizens for "tax evasion." No more government tracking of our private financial transactions.
Just a few days after finding out that the federal government may be hesitant to fully fight Montana over REAL ID, we get the news that California also may be joining the REAL ID resistance.
If Thomas Jefferson were running for the US presidency and spoke the words he uttered two centuries ago, he would be marginalized by today’s press just as Ron Paul has been marginalized in his campaign for the US presidency.

Contrary to the lies continuously spewed by our corporately owned media John McCain is NOT the nominee. Understand that the delegates have the power. The popular vote means next to NOTHING.
Although Paul received just 3.8 percent of the vote during the primary race in St. Charles County, the Paul supporters were in the majority of the 131 people who attended the March 15 caucus. They quickly elected Brent Stafford, a Paul supporter from O'Fallon, as chairman.
Today we are spending ourselves silly with our foreign aid and interventionism. We have 700 bases all over the world. We continually pass legislation giving monetary aid to foreign governments as our own debt increases (now over $9 billion and growing). It is seemingly more and more likely that the only way this behavior will end is by an economic collapse. I was born in an America full of dreams and boundless hope. I hope I don’t leave behind an America in ruin for my children and yours to sort out. They deserve better. We deserve better.
When times are tough, whether through natural disaster, economic cycles, or other burdens, it has become a common cry that the "government" needs to do something. Those controlling the government are always willing to do more as their personal power and authority gain and the strength of the States and people weakened. The majority of the people seem to have conformed to the idea more federal government holds the answers to our daily strife. Forgotten is the idea the people are the government, it appears only as empty rhetoric in the campaign stump speeches of politicians. Gone too is the knowledge of our historical requirements for an active and involved citizenry in order to control tyranny of the few over the many.
Dr. Paul has done as much as one man could do to save Americans from the huge coming blood-and-treasure costs of U.S. intervention. For his effort, Dr. Paul has been ridiculed, damned, and vilified by the media and the country’s political class, but has earned the enduring respect and thanks of Americans who do not understand why their children’s lives and the outrageous taxes they pay are continually wasted in other peoples’ wars – especially other peoples’ religious wars – where no genuine U.S. national interests are at risk.
I wonder if John McCain, Obama or Hillary could even understand what Ron Paul is saying.
Therefore, because a Republican nominee is not actually determined until September, I urge all Ron Paul supporters to do the smart thing and work to help Dr. Paul's Republican presidential run. When the convention finally comes and Ron Paul walks out without the party's nomination then it would be the most appropriate time to talk about an independent run. But again, until that time comes, third party/independent talk is silly and quite disrespectful not only to Congressman Paul, but to his supporters as well. Put off this discussion until post-convention and help the Ron Paul Republicans, and the Revolution, continue.
When he was at the Reagan Library on Jan. 30, it was apparent. John McCain and Mitt Romney were bickering about who said what about Iraq and the troop movements. Paul wanted to talk about if they supported the war and the real reasons for invading Iraq because all the ones even given by the Bush administration are now proven false. When he was asked about foreign policy, Paul always related it to fiscal policy. He seemed like the only choice to vote for because of his ability to solve the real problems.
The point? The federal government does not have free reign to do whatever it wants to do. This story is a great, simple introduction to the principles we stand for. Make sure to read it if you have not done so before, and also pass it around to your family and friends. Everyone loves a good Davy Crockett story, and this one will not only entertain, it will educate, and maybe even change some minds.
Rep. Ron Paul weighed in on HR 3773 by saying, “This bill will allow the federal government to engage in the bulk collection of American citizens’ communications. In effect, it means that any American may have his electronic communications monitored without a search warrant. As such, the bill clearly violates the Fourth Amendment.” Rep. Paul went on to point out that of the 50,000 National Security Letters issued around 30,000 were issued, NOT for suspected terrorists, but for Americans. He later added, “When we come to accept that the government can spy on us without a court order, we have come to accept tyranny.”
Already, we are seeing how REAL ID is a de facto national id card. Sadly, many Americans will know nothing about this until they show up at the airports or to tour the Capitol building with their kids and find out that they don’t have the proper identification.

A more credible explanation as to why Ron Paul did not do better in the presidential race — whether in Texas or elsewhere — may be found in the fact that the mainstream media marginalized him as a fringe candidate who did not have a chance of winning. That perception undoubtedly caused many who liked Ron Paul — including many of his own constituents — to vote for their second choice for president.
I guess Reagan was just as "wacky" as Ron Paul.
Debbie Hopper, national field director for U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas (and who is continuing his campaign for president), called Thursday to recount a contentious encounter that she had just had with Missouri Republican Party executive director Jared Craighead.

Now, get this: The Ron Paul presidential campaign reported no debts. Not a dollar. Not even a penny. Republican congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul has accepted an invitation from the Nevada Republican Party to be a keynote speaker at the Nevada Republican State Convention on April 26th. The Texas congressman came in second place in the presidential preference poll held on January 19th in Nevada, and continues to enjoy fervent support among many Republicans in the Silver State.
Perhaps an even slyer slight of hand than the fraudulent Federal Reserve Bank Act, somehow, the Federal Reserve Bank has managed to deceive U.S. citizens into believing the Fed dollar Notes somehow belong to "we the people" when they don't. Citizens 'in the know' who want to transfer their funds to what Greenspan calls "asset-backed securities" like silver and gold Ron Pall coins, have the Feds worried.
I asked voters who they will vote for and why. They don't know the real issues at all. An example of why America is spiraling down into idiocracy.
The Constitution is not just a God damned piece of paper sir [Bush]. Not even close. It is a God blessed piece of paper. It is the supreme law of the land. Read it. Follow it. It is what you swore to uphold when you took office. If your Christian faith is important to you as you say, then why did you swear on the bible and then go back on your oath? If there is a hell, it is likely your ultimate destination. Of course, you shouldn’t be afraid. Most of Congress will be there with you.

In an interview with the Washington Times, Paul says he's still out campaigning here and there -- North Carolina, Pennsylvania, perhaps Idaho -- as long as he senses the support from his fervent followers, who created quite a ... phenomenon during last fall's campaign, raising more money in the fourth quarter than any of the other party big shots who, Paulunteers feel, have hijacked the Republican Party from its conservative, small-government principles and opposition to foreign intervention.

No-one, including John McCain, can legitimately count on all the Missouri [or any state's] electoral votes unless existing GOP rules allow some GOP authority other than the assembled convention, to forbid delegates using a secret ballot in the voting for a nominee. Please read that again to grasp the essential point of secret ballots, which is to protect each voter, of what-ever character, from "undue influence" [a polite legal term for bribery, intimidation etc.].

The CRP (opensecrets.org) responded to this inquiry on why they removed Ron Paul from the list of candidates running for president. Lying to further limit the publics choices: "Should Rep. Paul or one of his aides wish to make the case that he is still actively running for president, please invite them to contact the Center to discuss this."
“After five years of occupation, today is a good time for reflection. The cost to America has been great: 4,000 soldiers are dead, 30,000 have been severely wounded, and over 100,000 have applied for disability. In addition, the war has put a tremendous strain on our economy. As we spiral toward recession and experience an assault on our dollar, we spend $12 billion per month financing our Iraqi operations. With reports coming out of mainstream sources such as the LA Times, New York Times, CNN, Fox News and the Washington post, the Paulisitas are over throwing the GOP establishment county by county. The news organizations are covering Paul’s supporters movement and gains more so now, than when the election cycle was in full swing.
Fitting reminder for the five year anniversary of one of the most egregious, empire building wars in history. More to come if you think anyone other than Ron Paul in this election will stop the atrocities committed in or name.

Today marks the official five year anniversary of the start of the Iraq War.
Mr. Paul says that neoconservatives who hijacked the Republicans extol what he most abhors: the belief that government is part of the solution, not the problem, and that America's inherent beneficence entitles it to force selected other nations to make themselves over in America's image.
In exchange for not bringing up the rules issue on the floor, we could pass a resolution stating the Alaska Republican Party would like Ron Paul to speak at the Republican National Convention. The deal happened and the resolution went through.
America became the greatest, most prosperous nation in human history through low taxes, constitutionally limited government, personal freedom and a belief in sound money. We need to return to these principles so our economy can thrive again. When enacted, my plan will provide both short-term stimulus and lay the groundwork for long-term prosperity. Other candidates talk a lot about stimulus packages, but my record stands alone. I have fought for these measures for years as a member of Congress and will make them a top priority as president.

Highlights from speeches in Seattle, South Carolina and the Iowa Straw Poll
Thought it was significant to note that at Haywood County's Convention, they elected 8 out of 10 delegates that are Ron Paulers! NC...especially WNC is a battleground for Ron Paul. We have a local candidate named Jimmy Goodman who has been following Paul for over 10 years, running for commissioner.
“The Rally is coming along faster than I can cope with at times, thank goodness for all the help I am getting with it from Art Pollack, Joel Lemeiux, Bernard Carmen, and all the wonderful people who have gone out of their way to promote and work for the success of this Rally. We have had videos made and given to us, posters made up for printing, so many talented people giving their time and energy again for Ron Paul. This is just a tremendous event and will re-energize the supporters I am sure. We cannot afford to lose a single supporter as this is a Revolution that will be going on for years and need dedicated people who will continue to fight for all of our Constitutional Rights. This was the main purpose of Ron’s Campaign, getting the message out there and waking up the people.

The Paul supporters filled most of the delegate slots from St. Charles County. At the county-level caucuses, delegates were chosen to attend the state and congressional caucus. Then at these events, the attendees will help select the 55 delegates from Missouri who will go to the national GOP convention, where a presidential nominee is chosen. The scene was similar at other caucuses across the state. In Kansas City, Springfield, and several smaller counties, Paul supporters represented the majority of caucus goers. Some Paul supporters claim they have secured 1/3 of the total delegates who will attend the state convention.
Usually attended only by party apparatchiks, the caucuses help set the official party platform and deal with internal rules issues. The kind of stuff most folks ignore. Not the Paulistas, who swarmed meetings in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield and some rural counties and, as the St. Louis Post-Dispatch put it, "snagged roughly a third of the 2,137 state Republican delegates."

A BIZARRE election year! The GOP, discovering the ENORMOUS number of RP people as delegates in particular states, has accused Ron Paul supporters of dishonesty! That’s like Bill accusing Hill of dishonesty!
It has everything to do with the Paul 2008 campaign. Keep in mind that in 1964, the Internet didn't exist yet. All the campaigning by Lodge's supporters was done without the aid of social networking, e-mail, instant messaging and cellular phones.
